International Meatless Day

The 25 November International Meatless Day, Animal Rights Day, and SAK (Stop All Killing) campaigns were created by people who agreed with Sadhu Vaswani’s assertion that the universe was held together by golden chains at the feet of the One God, the All-Powerful Creator of all things. On this day, people are asked to abstain from eating anything that isn’t vegetarian in honour of this goal. Since this idea was developed, the campaign has gained an unstoppable pace, and over the past few years, well over 10 million people have pledged support from all over the world. Such was the awareness that several Indian states voluntarily closed their slaughterhouses on that day. However, this is insufficient, and we must work to raise the consciousness of more people.

International Meatless Day

Every year in November, people all across the world observe international meatless day. Sadhu T.L. Vaswani was born on this day in history. He started the process of developing the Indian educational system and was a famous Indian educator.

In honour of Sadhu T.L. Vaswani, butcher shops are closed on this special day, and everyone observes vegetarianism. In order to follow a vegetarian lifestyle, people eat vegetarian meals on that specific day.

Go Vegetarian

The average person consumes non-vegetarian food at least once per week because it is in their nature to do so. However, a lot of food enthusiasts favour non-vegetarian meals over vegetarian ones. Some people are hesitant to eat non-vegetarian food during lunch. It is suggested that this type of person consumes vegan at least once every week. Taking vegetables has several health benefits and a different flavour.

Your health will improve and all of your diseases will be cured if you choose to eat more green veggies, leaving you feeling rejuvenated all day. According to an old saying, food is medicine and medicine is food. It illustrates how nutritious foods serve as both good nourishment and medicine. In those days, rather than using scientific medications, individuals treated inflammatory disorders with a nutritious diet. In order to live a healthy life, it is advised for individuals to avoid unhealthy meats and favour eating wholesome foods.

Eat Right

Eat the right things at the right times to keep your body in shape and healthy. Fresh veggies are more nutrient-dense than meats, despite the fact that meats do contain some nutritious value. The finest therapy to treat any inflammatory illnesses and rid your body of anaemia is healthy eating. Your ability to live life to the fullest and the health to do so will come from living a healthy lifestyle. With healthy foods, you can eat right and be right.

Benefits of Vegetarianism

A significant percentage of young individuals are becoming vegetarians. The reasons might include:

  • It has health advantages.
  • It is a more environmentally friendly option.
  • They care about how animals are treated.
  • It is a part of a broader lifestyle choice.

Some people refrain from eating meat and other animal products for religious reasons as well. Here are a few ways avoiding meat products can benefit one’s health:

Weight: According to a 2016 meta-analysis, changing to a vegetarian diet may aid weight loss, at least temporarily. Longer-term controlled studies are necessary for researchers to fully grasp how a vegetarian diet might impact body weight.

Cholesterol: According to a 2015 comprehensive review, those who eat a vegetarian diet are likely to have lower total cholesterol levels.

Cancer: According to a study of data on almost 70,000 individuals, vegans have a lower overall incidence of cancer than non-vegetarians. The scientists hypothesised that a vegetarian diet might provide some cancer prevention.

Heart health: Researchers from a 2014 study discovered that vegetarians in India have a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease. Similar findings have already been found in studies conducted in western nations.

Diabetes: A vegetarian diet may reduce a person’s risk of type 2 diabetes.

These benefits won’t come about right away if someone stops eating meat. Along with eating a vegetarian diet, individuals must make sure they:

  • Consume the proper amount of calories
  • Limit their use of processed foods and alcohol
  • Concentrate on a range of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
  • Avoid unhealthy fats, added sugar, and salt.
